2021 Check-In

May 2021, can y’all believe we’re almost halfway through 2021? Is it me or was it just January? 2021 has continued to be one that’s throwing curve balls at us to challenge our mindsets, resilience, and motivation to keep pushing forward. Some of us may have found that the goals we were looking to achieve at the beginning of the year are back on the ‘New Years Resolution’ pile or we’re just lacking in the same drive and direction we had back at the start of January.

If you’re looking for ways to make the best of the rest of the year, here are two ways to help you mentally get back on track.

Refocus on your original goals

Think back to when you first set the goals you wanted to achieve, what were your motivations, inspirations, and intentions? Spend some time thinking about this, write down the answers or do some more research to keep you inspired. It can be helpful to flame that spark again and get a new dose of motivation to keep working towards them.

Sustaining what you’ve already achieved

Sometimes the hardest thing is to sustain the changes once you have reached the goal. Letting these positive changes go can lead you straight back to the starting line again. Set yourself regular reminders to think about why you originally set the goals and how those changes benefit you now. If you find you’re more driven by having something to work towards, are there any add-on goals you can set yourself to help you sustain what you’ve already achieved?

Keep your head up and achieve the goals you still have time, drop how you will below!
