Liquid Gold aka Breast milk, well specifically colostrum. Colostrum is the first milk produced by women before the mature milk comes in. August is breastfeeding awareness month so here we are!
I did things a bit differently this month, decided to do an Instagram live instead of a written blog. Partly because August was packed full of love, fun, and adventure. It was my birthday, my best friend got engaged S/O Robin and Les on your engagement ♥, and my brother’s birthday is also in August.
Back to business so for this blog I collabed with Millie Goins, a nutritionist, location consultant, entrepreneur, and like me a public health enthusiast.
Millie will provide answers to the following questions:
Why is breastfeeding so important? How long can a mother breast feed? Is breastfeeding beneficial for the mom? Misconceptions about breastfeeding? Are there different types of breastfeeding? How soon should you start breastfeeding? How do you encourage mothers to breast feed who are leaning toward formula? Can all women breastfeed? Can you provide more information about donor milk?
